Beloved British ambassador of Hungary leaves office
Iain Lindsay, the British ambassador of Hungary, shared a heartfelt message on his Instagram feed about leaving the country and introducing his successor.
Világgazdaság reported that the Foreign Ministry of the UK already announced in a press conference that, after four years, he is leaving office. His successor, Paul Fox, will be the new British ambassador of Hungary from September 2020.
Fox worked in Moscow as an ambassador-counselor but gained experience in Dubai, Warsaw, and former Yugoslavia.
Lindsay surprised Hungarians many times. On the Day of Hungarian Culture, he expressed his kindness with an exclusive video, in which Lindsay read aloud his favourite Hungarian youth novel, The Paul Street Boys. The video was posted by the British Embassy in Budapest.
